It turns out that some wealthy investors decided that their well-heeled, active money managers and fancy financial advisors didn't know much more than they did about making money in bear markets, and they switched from full- service brokerages to self-directed discount brokers -- where they are also less likely to run into the likes of Bernie Madoff' according to Barron's, in its March 2009 Online Brokers rating.

We’ve added the following features that many of you have requested.

1) Added "Net Profit/Loss" for stocks in Active Trade List

If you click on a stock in the active trade list, the 2nd menu
item will show the "Net P/L" for that stock.

That number includes all of the buys/sells for that symbol
since you initiated a position (or purchased your first 100
shares).

After you close out of the position (or sell your last 100
shares), the Net P/L for that symbol starts back at 0.


2) Added "Current Account Value" to the Preferences Screen

In simulate mode, the value is initially set by YOU.
In Live mode, the value is set by your Interactive Brokers acct.

It fluctuates to reflect the profit/loss accumulated by
your trader. It also carries forward each day so you can
track the success of your trading strategies.

If you change your strategy and want to start with a clean
Account Value, you can click one button and enter a new
starting Account Value.


3) Shortened the login time.

The time to login has been optimized so logins will be quicker.
